Dr Sarah Perkins has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of adults of all ages, and has worked in the NHS across a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community health settings. Having obtained a BSc Psychology degree at the University of Birmingham, she went on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Dr Sarah Perkins has experience in working with people with a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders (social anxiety, worry and generalised anxiety disorder, phobias, panic), depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, stress, bereavement, bipolar affective disorder, psychosis, trauma, and personality difficulties. Dr Sarah Perkins has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Mindfulness, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). She has a particular interest in CFT and completed a further qualification (Post-Graduate Certificate) at the University of Derby with Professor Paul Gilbert.
