About me

As a Registered Psychologist, I believe that therapy is an essential space for everyone, and my role is to support and guide you throughout your journey. This can be through active, evidence based strategies for you to try, or more informal exploration of your experiences. I strive to make therapy effective by adapting it to your unique way of thinking and communicating. My goal is to help you understand and reach your therapy objectives, whatever they may be. I have experience working in the NHS as a Trainee Psychologist, Specialist Psychologist and Lead Psychologist within different NHS teams, giving me a broad range of experience at different levels. In these roles, I worked with children and adults who experienced various mental health difficulties. I have also worked in an Adult Learning Disabilities Team, working with people who have an Intellectual Disability, as well as their families and carers. An additional role a crisis clinician working in The Haven, York, and equipped me in skills around trauma and mental health crisis. In my private practice, I have supported people with recent Autism and ADHD diagnoses (both children and adults), through forms of coaching and psychological education. I also specialise in alleviating difficulties from Trauma, Bereavement, Relationship difficulties, Career difficulties, OCD and General life and value exploration. I am trained in various evidence based therapy models and I am keen to work with individuals from all walks of life. I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) UK, which means that my practice is regulated and I continuously engage in professional development. This means I am able to deliver care to the best of my abilities for you.
