She specialises in trauma, anxiety, low mood and long-term illnesses including cardiac, endocrine, respiratory illness, cancers and pain. Rehana uses a biopsychosocial approach to support individuals cope with the impact of a physical condition and develop healthier ways to cope. Rehana provides culturally sensitive therapy and recognises how cultural beliefs impact on beliefs and behaviour. Starting therapy can be daunting. From the initial meeting Rehana provides a safe non-judgmental space where you can share your problem and understand the wider context of your life. Rehana facilitates the process of self-discovery and growth, enabling you to understand your situation better. Through joint working in a safe space Rehana will formulate the reasons for your issues and recommend an evidence based treatment plan to help you improve the quality of your life. Rehana is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Rehana works both in the NHS and private practice to support clients bring positive changes in their lives.
