About me

Jo works with her clients to develop collaborative therapeutic goals. She works hard to develop a warm and genuine therapeutic relationship to support her clients. Jo qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2003, initially working within both a community mental health team and an HIV/Sexual Health service before specialising in Clinical Health Psychology. Jo’s current NHS role involves a great deal of work with maternity services supporting women and their partners’ who have experienced a traumatic birth. Her work has been varied, providing the opportunity to work with people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. In terms of physical health, Jo has worked with people experiencing chronic pain, long term health conditions, sexual difficulties and life limiting conditions including supporting individuals and their families during end of life. She is passionate about helping people to live a life that takes them towards what matters to them even when their physical health is challenging.
