About me

I am a psychotherapist with 15 years of experience supporting individuals who are struggling with emotional and psychological distress. I offer a non-judgemental space to explore your difficulties with curiosity, compassion and sensitivity. I am able to support you with difficulties such as: low mood, anxiety, phobias, panic, overwhelm or feeling numb and disconnected. I can also support you to explore and process the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences, transitions, relationships and loss. I am trained in a number of therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I work in an integrated and collaborative way, drawing on these approaches to create an intervention that is suited to your individual needs and hopes for therapy. Therapy can feel daunting and confusing at first. We will begin by exploring together what brings you to therapy and creating a shared understanding of your difficulties. We might also explore your history to better understand how difficulties from the past may continue to impact upon you in the present. My role is to empower you, offering choices and working together to plan the direction we take in therapy.
