About me

I have worked as a therapist for many years and enjoy helping people make sense of their experiences. I value hearing each person's story and supporting them to find inner calm, understanding, and change unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaving and relating to others. There are many reasons why people seek therapy and would like someone to talk to. I have specialist interest and experience in working with a variety of difficulties, primarily depression, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, stress &burnout, relationship issues and insecure attachment styles. As an integrative practitioner, the range of approaches I use include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT); Attachment-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy; Mindfulness Interventions; Family Therapy; and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). My work can be focused and short-term, or more exploratory and longer-term. The decision to start therapy can be a difficult one. My clients have shared I am friendly, warm and easy to talk to. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore issues that are important to you and you would like to talk about.
