About me

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years of clinical experience within the NHS and also private practice. Over this time, I have worked in a number of different settings; with families, adults individually and also young people. My aim is to create a space and develop a relationship where it feels comfortable and safe to talk and think about the current challenges, and how we understand these, in the context of your life and experiences. This can then lead us to think about your goals and hopes for the future, and how i can adapt my approach accordingly to support these. I like to draw on a range of approaches that I have developed throughout my career, for us to think together about why things may be tricky right now, and how we can work towards what matters most to you. As part of our work, I welcome and encourage feedback so that we can find a way to work well together, and achieve your goals. In terms of my background, since completing my clinical psychology training in 2003, I have worked in both adult and child mental health services as well as with young people and adults who have neurodevelopmental diagnoses (ADHD/ ASD) and learning difficulties. Within the NHS I previously led a service that offered psychological input to mainstream and specialist schools, providing emotional and wellbeing support to staff and pupils. Currently I also work in the NHS part time in London. Over the years I have undertaken further specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Autism and ADHD assessment/ treatment, trauma based work, family work, and parenting approaches. I am committed to continuing to develop my skills and experience and keep up to date with changes and guidance relevant to the work. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
