Lucy uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework to support her clients in understanding and overcoming common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Lucy works collaboratively with her clients and will tailor sessions to meet her client’s needs and support them to achieve their goals. Lucy is accredited by the Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy Association (BABCP) and has completed further training in systemic therapy, mindfulness and compassion focused therapy and schema therapy. Lucy has worked as a therapist in a range of NHS services including primary care IAPT services, long-term condition services, prison services, forensic services, inpatient services and most recently, eating disorder services. Lucy has experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds and age groups. She delivers evidenced-based CBT for common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, stress and sleep difficulties. Lucy also has experience working with adults presenting with severe and enduring mental health difficulties and complex needs including psychosis, bi-polar, complex trauma and personality disorder. Lucy currently works at a specialist eating disorder service as part of a multi-disciplinary team. She offers specialist therapy such as MANTRA, CBT-AR and CBT-E. Lucy also offers training, consultation and supervision to fellow staff members within the NHS.
