Katie is a Clinical Psychologist with a diverse clinical background, specializing in eating disorder service, substance and alcohol misuse, and supporting the mental health of young people.
Book a sessionWorking from an integrative perspective, Katie focuses on the individual’s needs, tailoring her clinical approach to promote a deepening self-awareness and thereby enhancing the client’s ability to move towards his or her therapeutic goals. She aims to work collaboratively and from a holistic perspective tapping into the client’s innate strengths and developing a compassionate therapeutic relationship. Katie is a Registered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a chartered member of the BPS as well as the Division of Counselling Psychology. Katie is originally from the United States, where she graduated with an honors degree in Philosophy from the University of New Mexico in 2008. She moved to London in 2008 in order to explore Europe from its doorstep. Following a Masters Degree in child development, Katie completed her Doctorate at City University. Katie has a diverse clinical background including both NHS and private practice within the specialized fields of eating disorder service, substance and alcohol misuse, and the supporting of young people struggling with a variety of complex mental health concerns. Aside from these specialties, she has experience treating anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties and a range of mental health issues impacting adults, young people, couples and families Katie’s training in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, CBT-E, RO-DBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, and Systemic Therapy guide the development of interventions designed to support the client’s goals both personal and therapeutic.
