Book a sessionI am an accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) and trained Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) psychotherapist. I have worked in adult mental health services for over 15 years; both supporting individuals living in the community and for primary care NHS Talking Therapy services. I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and I have worked with a vast range of presentations overs the years to bring about meaningful change for people in their everyday life. More recently I have trained in EMDR which has enabled me to widen my skill set in working with all presentations. I have found EMDR helpful for many distressing past memories which can reduce depression and anxiety symptoms for individuals. I have also found it to be highly effective in working with PTSD and complex PTSD presentations. These symptoms can range from a single truama such as a car accident, to complex multiple trauma's from childhood. I am confident in working with the following presentations: PTSD and Complex PTSD presentations Depression; including the impact of low self esteem Generalised anxiety disorders Social Phobia Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Phobias Health anxiety I ensure a therapy plan is made together at the start to ensure you know what to expect. Each session will allow us to work towards your goals and bring about growth, reflective understanding, confidence and improve wellbeing.
