Hello, I'm Jess, A compassionate CBT Therapist helping You find clarity, confidence, and calm. Here to help you tackle life’s challenges (always with a mug of tea in hand).
Book a sessionI work primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), exploring how our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and physical sensations interact and can sometimes keep difficulties going. I believe CBT should always be flexible, adapting the approach to your individual needs, goals, and personal preferences. I also draw on Compassion Focused Therapy where helpful, as many people find it supports them in developing a kinder, more balanced relationship with themselves. I have ten years of experience working in mental health, including eight years in the NHS delivering evidence-based CBT. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds with many different challenges. This includes helping people manage common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and stress, as well as providing specialist CBT for eating disorders. I am committed to ongoing learning and professional development. After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, I went on to specialise in CBT through a postgraduate diploma in High-Intensity CBT, and I am a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I am also trained as a CBT supervisor and offer supervision to other CBT practitioners. While my formal training has shaped my practice, I have learned the most from the clients I’ve worked with, and their experiences continue to guide and inspire my approach. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. My aim is to offer a safe, collaborative, and empowering space where you feel heard, supported, and able to work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I look forward to working with you.
