Hanne believes strongly that therapy should be a supportive and compassionate experience for people.
Book a sessionHanne believes strongly that therapy should be a supportive and compassionate experience for people. This comes across in her warmth and calmness and the empathy she holds for her clients. Her work is underpinned by the knowledge that we all experience psychological pain at times in our lives and that we are all worthy of understanding and care. She is an experienced therapist dedicated to helping people get to where they want to be. Hanne has worked with people with diverse physical and mental health needs in a variety of settings in the UK for over a decade. She currently works as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist within the NHS as well as working in private practice. She understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and she works flexibly and intuitively to tailor her approach to best suit each individual and their situation. Having completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and having trained in the UK and South America, she has experience of working with a broad range of people and difficulties and is trained in multiple evidence-based therapeutic models. Some of the issues she has worked with include: depression; anxiety; stress; long-term physical health conditions; caring for others; anger; low self-esteem; relationship difficulties; work-related problems; abuse; feeling stuck or lost; bereavement; distress during pregnancy and/or after the birth of a child. Hanne draws skilfully upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) models of therapy in her work.
