I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who has over 10 years experience working in Mental Health and Talking Therapies. I work with anyone over the age of 16.
Book a sessionI became a therapist because I am passionate about helping others understand their difficulties and finding a way to work together towards goals they wish to achieve. I believe therapy provides a safe, supportive and collaborative space where you can work through your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to make meaningful changes. My goal in therapy is to empower you to become your own expert and navigate through the difficulties you face. My role is to support you on your journey to overcome these challenges, build resilience and create a balanced and fulfilling life. I've been working in the NHS for over 10 years and for the last 4 years as a CBT therapist within NHS Talking Therapies. I specialise in helping people who are struggling with anxiety and depression, along with many other mental health difficulties. Two keen areas of interest of mine are the perinatal period (pre and post birth) and Neurodiversity. I have a Masters Degree, a Bachelors of Science Degree and most importantly a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT which allows me to become a fully accredited CBT therapist. My role as a CBT therapist, helps people to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours. I have also learned other techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) which are especially helpful for those who have long term health conditions and are struggling to accept/manage the implications on their mental health. I am a registered member of The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) which means I'm committed to high standards of care.
