Therapy is a difficult process and people work at different paces. Therefore, whilst working within evidence base, therapy needs to be adapted to suit individual needs and ways of working. Experience: 15 years of experience working within mental health and NHS settings providing therapy for a wide range of mental health disorders and emotional difficulties such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Panic Disorder. I have held numerous different roles throughout my career, working as a Psychological Well-being Practitioner (PWP), BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, EMDR Therapist, Supervisor, MbCBT facilitator, Operational Lead and currently working for NHS Talking Therapies as a Clinical Lead. Qualifications: Following completion of my undergraduate degree in Psychology, i trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) and MBCBT (Mindfulness based CBT) and my current clinical work is spread across all three modalities. I have a keen interest in trauma/PTSD and have developed and facilitated group therapy programmes for PTSD, OCD, GAD and Mindfulness.
