About me

Im a BABCP Accredited Psychological Therapist with over 18 years of experience supporting people through emotional distress and psychological difficulty. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, generalised anxiety, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and the impacts of stress/ burnout and low self-esteem. I specialise in supporting people who have experienced trauma, including PTSD and Complex PTSD. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and meaningful. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, where your experiences are understood, and where we work together toward reclaiming the life you want to live. I have substantial experience of supporting individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma, abuse, childhood adversity, violence, loss, discrimination, and identity-related struggles. I have a keen interest in men’s mental health, recognising the barriers they face in seeking support due to societal expectations around strength and resilience. My approach is honest and respectful, providing structure without judgment. I also emphasise culturally informed practice, acknowledging the cultural, familial, and community contexts that influence how distress is experienced. Therapy is tailored to each individual, taking into account your background, identity, beliefs, and values. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also draw heavily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based approaches. My approach is: - Evidence-based and structured, while still human and relational - Collaborative and transparent - we work together - Pacing is guided by what feels safe for you Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding your experience, learning new ways of relating to thoughts and emotions, and reconnecting with clarity, choice, and meaning in your life.
