About me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has specialised in Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant interventions. Some of the difficulties that I work with include, Anxiety, Depression, processing past traumas, OCD, birth trauma, phobia of birth, difficulties with bonding, gender disappointment, adjusting to parenthood, low self-esteem and the sad loss of a pregnancy. I understand the complicated mix of emotions that are experienced as people embark on becoming parents. I will work alongside you to develop an intervention plan that fits for you, based upon your needs, your goals and the evidence bases for effective treatment. I will work with you to develop an intervention plan based upon your needs, experiences and the latest evidence-base for effective treatment. However, I typically use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and DBT. I also work with families to explore their relationships with their babies, using specialist parent-infant interventions. I always put compassion and relationships at the core of my work and will be led by what is most helpful for you. I currently am Clinical Director of The Hudson Project, a specialist Perinatal Psychology service, following over a decade in the NHS.
