At HelloSelf we want our relationship with you to be as clear, simple and trustworthy as our service… so here, in plain English, are the terms and conditions on which we supply our services to you.
Please read these terms carefully before you take out a subscription with us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide services to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information.
Who we are
We are HelloSelf Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
The services we offer you
- a monthly subscription service that gives you access to life coaches and tools to track your lifestyle, cognition data, emotions and what’s important in your life, and
- access to online sessions paid for on a session by session basis. with Clinical/Counselling Psychologists and Psychological Therapists.
We use feedback from your interactions with our coaches, therapists and online tools to make recommendations on how you might make changes that could lead to a more fulfilled life. To find out more on how we use your data please take a look at our Privacy promise HERE
We are not a crisis or emergency support service. Your Coach and Therapist are not available 24/7 and therefore if you need emergency support please visit
Who can use HelloSelf
To use HelloSelf you must be over 18 and have access to the internet.
We only deliver services in the UK.
Our contract with you
When you join HelloSelf, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. When you receive that e-mail, a contract will come into existence between you and us.
If you choose to subscribe for our services, your subscription will become live as soon as you have paid. We will stop providing services to you when your subscription expires, when your sessions are completed, or when one of us ends our contract.
We sometimes change our subscription cost but you will always be informed before the change.
Advice you receive from LifeCoaches on our website is not medical advice. It is lifestyle advice for the advancement or protection of your mental wellbeing and health.
If you have sessions with a clinical psychologist, you will get medical advice. It is up to you if you wish to accept and act on the advice that you are given.
HelloSelf is extremely proud of the quality of its coaches, psychologists and therapists. However, there is no guarantee that your sessions will help you achieve your goal.
Your coach is available to you on our website to help you make good lifestyle changes about becoming your best self. You can message your coach whenever you want and they will respond within 1 working day. Occasionally you and your coach might have a video call on the platform, but it is not guaranteed to all members.
All of our Therapists are BPS accredited, HCPC Registered, and have a PhD in Psychology or equivalent. They are DBS checked, have up to date training, are individually insured (medical liability insurance) and licensed to hold and create member records. HelloSelf checks all of the above to make sure you have the best experience.
You can request access to the notes taken by your therapist during your sessions, but the notes are the property of HelloSelf and the Therapist.
What does it cost
Members of HelloSelf pay a subscription fee to access the HelloSelf website and our life coaching services, and pay per session for time with a psychologist or psychiatrist through the online platform.
The session price varies according to the cost of the therapist, but you will always be informed of the price when deciding which therapist to work with.
HelloSelf has the right to offer discounts to the listed prices.

We won’t nudge you - we will always explain what we think you should do to be your best self… not try to nudge behaviour change without your consent. To do this we need to send you clear recommendation as part of the service.
We will contact you through the channel that you have selected on your HelloSelf profile as your preferred channel. We are bound by laws that control what and how we can communicate to you. We aim to go further than required by these laws by frequently checking if our communications are useful.
We have 2 types of communications:
- Those that are specific to you and tailored for you based on your interactions with HelloSelf. We will never include any sensitive personal information in these communications – instead you will be notified that there is a message waiting for you on HelloSelf. These messages are an essential part of our service.
- ‘You might be interested in’ messages – these are information that we think you might want to read, like a story about another member or an update about HelloSelf. You can opt out of these by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every ‘you might be interested in’ email.
Therapy sessions are paid for in advance. You must make your payment 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of your session or it will be cancelled.
Members can cancel or postpone their therapy sessions until 48 hours before the session is scheduled to take place. If you miss your session, or give less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation, you’ll be charged the full price of your session.
Subscriptions are paid on a monthly basis. If you don’t pay us when you’re supposed to and you still don’t make a payment within 2 days of us reminding you, we may suspend your access to our website. We won’t delete or remove your account though - so you can contact hello@HelloSelf.com if you would like to re-start payments and reactivate your account.
HelloSelf has the right to remove or deny entry to the platform to any individual. If this is done that member’s account will be deleted.
Ending your contract with us
If you decide you no longer want to use HelloSelf you can end your contract with us for any reason. If you do so, the contract will end at the end of that month and we will refund you for any unused sessions that booked more than 48 hours after you have cancelled.
To end your contract with us, e-mail us at hello@HelloSelf.com and include in the subject line “CANCELLATION NOTICE”.
HelloSelf can cancel the contract with you for any reason. However we will always give you notice.
Sometimes we might have to suspend our service to deal with technical problems or make minor technical changes. These suspensions should be breif but If we have to suspend the service for longer than 1 month we will adjust the price by deducting it from your next months subcription. so that you do not pay for what you cant use.
Sometimes our therapists may be delayed or miss sessions for reasons they can’t control. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any services you have paid for but not received.
Everything on HelloSelf apart from your data is owned by HelloSelf. It is protected by copyright.
Some necessary final details
This contract is between you and us. It is private and noone else has any rights to enforce its terms.
Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date. For example, if you miss a payment and we do not chase you but we continue to provide the services, we can still require you to make the payment at a later date.
These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in the English courts.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but the maximum amount of our liability will be equal to the subscription and session fees that you have paid HelloSelf. We do not, however, exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so.
