About me

My core profession is as a CBT therapist, however, I have over 14 years experience as a therapist in both primary and secondary care settings and will always use the model that best fits your difficulties. I will spend time conducting a thorough assessment and building a formulation (a map of you) to make sense of how best to treat your difficulties in alignment to your goals for therapy. We would both agree a plan of how to move forward in a way that would work best for you using a therapeutic approach that compliments your goals. I specialise in the treatment of PTSD, mood disorders and difficulties associated with hormonal health conditions such as Endometriosis. I work with a range of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR. I appreciate meeting someone new can feel daunting and it can be hard to sit with that sense of feeling vulnerable. I value building a positive therapeutic relationship from the outset and it is important to me that you feel secure in our work together. I will always invite your feedback and want to ensure you get the most from therapy.
