About me

Sadie is a psychotherapist with 15 years of clinical experience of working in a variety of different settings, including primary and secondary care within the NHS, the charity sector, academia and private practice. Sadie qualified as a CBT therapist in 2013 and has since trained in a range of psychological therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). She has experience of delivering evidence based therapy for people across a range of age groups, cognitive abilities and learning needs. Sadie believes that effective therapy is both compassionate and challenging and her priority is to build a warm therapeutic relationship from the outset. Her aim is to empower her clients to increase their psychological awareness and to develop tools and skills that will enable them to maintain their resilience in the long term. Sadie specialises in the treatment of PTSD, mood disorders such as Depression or EUPD in which clients might be struggling with difficulties in regulating their emotions and difficulties associated with hormonal health conditions. Alongside her private practice, Sadie works as a University lecturer training and supervising post-graduate trainee psychotherapists and she has a particular research interest in the psychological impact of hormonal health disorders.
