Approach
Wendy is a warm and compassionate Chartered Counselling Psychologist who takes a collaborative approach with her clients in order to gain a good shared understanding of their difficulties. Based on this shared understanding, Wendy then supports her clients in identifying ways of overcoming these difficulties.
Experience
Wendy is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist who is registered with HCPC and the British Psychological Society. She specialises in working with clients aged 16 and older. She has 11 years experience working in a number of different NHS settings such as primary care, secondary care and pain management. Wendy has worked in private practice for the last 7 years alongside NHS posts and currently alongside her post with a voluntary organisation which supports in preventing homelessness for 16 to 25 years olds.
Wendy holds a qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR and is currently working towards accreditation as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist. She uses an integrative approach when working with clients and tailors this to each client’s individual needs. She has experience working with a wide range of mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain management, psychosis and personality disorders.
