Approach

Robin is highly skilled in completing assessment and intervention for a range of needs, including social anxiety; low-self-esteem; depression; low-mood; generalised anxiety; emotional regulation problems; trauma and stress. Robin specialises in providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which he applies to a range of disorders.

Robin collaboratively considers the assessment needs of the individual, integrating and informed by range of approaches alongside CBT, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).

Experience

Robin has over ten years experience working with individuals with diverse clinical presentations, including those with mental health, behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs, in a variety of clinical contexts in the UK. Robin completed his clinical doctorate in 2019 and currently works as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust providing consultation and training for colleagues in child services. Robin works in private practice with clinical and non-clinical populations, including adults and young people with a variety of presentations.

Specialist interests and additional qualifications

  • Robin is particularly interested in therapist expertise and clinical processes such as ‘formulation’ and how these can be developed to improve client care.
