I pride myself on a compassionate and straight-talking approach. I provide a safe and supportive environment, to enable people to work through their struggles, towards better mental health.
Book a sessionMy name is Rachael, and I am a fully qualified, BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, EMDR Practitioner, and Clinical Supervisor. I offer CBT and EMDR for a range of difficulties, including PTSD/trauma, social anxiety, agoraphobia, specific phobias, generalised anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and depression. Please see my expertise section for other presentations I work with. I specialise in trauma, including PTSD and complex PTSD (CPTSD), with extensive training in supporting individuals through a wide range of traumatic experiences. My approach takes into account the unique needs associated with specific types of trauma, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and trauma experienced by emergency service personnel. I am committed to providing sensitive, evidence-based care that respects the complexity of each individual’s experience. CBT is an empowering therapy that can help you become ‘unstuck’ from unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. We will work together to understand your difficulties, break the cycles that keep you feeling trapped, and explore new coping strategies to help you live a more fulfilled and meaningful life. I pride myself on being straight-talking and direct, yet warm and compassionate, offering a safe and confidential space to explore whatever is holding you back. I take a whole-person approach to therapy, recognising that no one is defined by their struggles. Our work may involve exploring potential triggers — including past events — and identifying how your difficulties are maintained. We will then develop practical, individualised strategies to support recovery. With over 14 years’ experience working with both children and adults across a range of common and complex mental health issues, I am passionate about empowering individuals to overcome their struggles, regain a sense of control, and thrive.
