Philip works closely with people to develop a clear and collaborative understanding of the specific problems they are experiencing, which is then linked to psychological theory to form a detailed plan for subsequent treatment. He places each and every client he works with at the centre of everything that he does as a psychologist. From the moment you first talk on the phone, during the initial meeting, and throughout the process of therapy, he approaches each person as a unique individual, with a distinct set of needs for successful therapy.

Philip is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS for over 10 years. As part of his current role, he works a great deal with the effects of traumatic experiences. He provides therapy for individuals who are experiencing a recognised mental health problem, or other psychological, emotional or relationship issues. Philip has received academic training in, and gained in-depth clinical experience of using a wide range of different therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy (ST). This allows him to draw on the approach that best fits your needs.
