Approach
Olivia is an experienced, warm, and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who is dedicated to providing her clients with a safe and non-judgmental environment in which they can explore their current challenges and difficulties. Her therapeutic approach is centred around the individual, focusing on their strengths and considering the broader contexts and relationships in their lives. Her aim is to rekindle resilience, strength, and coping capabilities when facing life’s obstacles.
Recognising the profound impact of past experiences on the present and future, Olivia takes an integrated approach to therapy. She delves not only into the immediate challenges her clients are confronting but also explores their past and future aspirations. Through this comprehensive perspective, Olivia helps clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique circumstances. This, in turn, allows her to create personalised treatment plans that are tailored to each individual’s specific needs, considering their past, present, and future goals. She primarily works within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework. However, she has an integrative style and aims to tailor therapy to each person’s individual needs, drawing on other third-wave approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), and Mindfulness-based CBT. Olivia can provide high-quality therapy for the difficulties listed.
Olivia has a compassionate and empathetic approach, creating a safe space to start therapy, whether it’s your first time or not, ensuring you feel ready to express yourself, explore difficulties, and begin making changes. She provides an open space for you to provide feedback, reflect, and ensure you get what you want out of therapy, working towards building a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
Experience
Olivia obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, King’s College London (KCL), and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). She has also completed a master’s degree in Mental Health Sciences (UCL - University College London). She has worked across a range of National Specialist and Local NHS and research settings.
