Approach

He is passionate about providing a safe space that allows people to work through their difficulties in a collaborative, supportive and non-judgemental way.
Oliver has provided evidence-based therapy to a diverse range of people of all different ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. He believes that the choice of therapy model should always be based on individual need and can provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Mindfulness, Adaptive Mentalization Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) or an integrated approach.

Experience

During his career Oliver has worked with a wide range of difficulties. Examples include self-harm, anger and emotional regulation difficulties, low mood and depression, traumatic experiences, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and loss and bereavement work. Oliver has over 20 years’ experience of working for a wide range of mental health and emotional well-being services. He attended the Salomon’s Institute for Applied Psychology, qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2012. Oliver currently works as a Lead Psychologist for both South West London and St George’s NHS Mental Health Trust, and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Oliver’s work also contributes to the teaching, supervising, and mentoring of trainee psychologists from the University of Surrey, the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, and the Salomon’s Institute for Applied Psychology.
