About me

I believe the most important element in therapy is feeling safe and able to trust in the process. My approach is non-judgmental, respectful and empathic. At the beginning of therapy my goal is to work collaboratively to build a shared understanding and develop a plan together. I draw from a range of psychological theories, models and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I work in an integrative way, allowing me to work flexibly according to your needs. The therapeutic approaches I am most influenced by include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Cognitive Analytic Therapy. Experience I worked in the NHS for 13 years before moving into private practice. Most recently I worked for Kent and Medway Partnership Trust, working with people experiencing a range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement and loss, as well as difficulties related to adjustment and life transitions. I have experience working with both acute difficulties and habits/ways of being that have developed over a lifetime and can feel very stuck
