Approach
Lara adopts an integrative model which means she draws from different theoretical approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and psychodynamic theories. She believes that psychological problems are seldom caused by just one source or situation, and that therefore a variety of strategies may be useful for achieving the desired outcome. She works collaboratively with her patients and believes the quality of the working relationship is the most important component in psychological therapy. She also believes that psychological therapy is undertaken with a view to helping people live a better life.
