Approach
Jana is a London trained clinical psychologist with over 15 years of research and clinical experiences which she has mainly gained in the NHS but also within the academic and private sectors. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011 at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and subsequently worked in a number of hospitals across London. During her career she has worked with people of different ages and with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, OCD, bereavement, burnout, stress, lack of motivation and a sense of ‘stuckness’. Her particular interest has been in working with people who experience difficulties with adjusting to long-term illness and the related issues including the management and the impact of a physical illness on the quality of everyday life.
Experience
In her private work, she has facilitated clients in understanding and approaching life challenges in more adaptive ways in order to bring positive and long-lasting changes in all aspects of their life. Her work is predominately within the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, while incorporating elements of Schema Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Based Therapy. All depending on the nature of issues that a person presents with.
