Approach
The different ways we feel, think and act can be confusing and overwhelming. So often, we can feel alone with our problems, unsure of where to begin. Therapy allows us to untangle, organise and understand what we’re stuck on. James understands that therapy can be daunting. He hopes to offer a personable, reliable and affable experience where you feel like you can build trust and are heard and understood. Within a couple of sessions, with James, you will have a plan for therapy with the view to bring about changes promptly while regularly reviewing progress.
Experience
With close to a decade of experience, James has had the privilege of working with and learning from people with a wide range of difficulties. This has helped him develop the knowledge and tools to confidently support people searching for understanding and direction, whether for a recent development or a lifelong issue. His extensive training in CBT, EMDR and IFS means that he can offer you a template to make sense of what you’re going through while also enabling you with the tools to make the right changes. This dynamic approach offers the choice of working with the past, processing experiences that hold us back or focusing on tools to cope in the present.
