Approach
Hannah is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She always uses warmth and compassion to provide a safe space, recognising it can be a brave step coming to therapy. She values that we all come from unique backgrounds and that there may be multiple ways of addressing a problem. She works holistically to provide solutions and healthier ways of coping. In her work she draws upon a number of therapeutic models (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and trauma informed approaches). Her focus is to help her clients connect to themselves, the people around them and the things that are meaningful to them.
Experience
Hannah has 10 years experience working in both the NHS and private practice and is skilled in working across a range of presentations. Some of the presentations she regularly works with include but are not limited to: low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, relationship difficulties, adjustment to health and life events, and professional burnout. In the NHS, Hannah has gained specialist experience working with chronic physical health conditions. She currently works in a service for people with Functional Neurological Disorderand a service for people with learning disabilities. She prefers to take a holistic approach that is orientated to her client’s goals and believes in the importance of the mind body connection. Hannah also works with organisations providing therapeutic coaching and training. In addition to Hannah’s clinical practice, she works with Oxford University as a Supervisor for Trainee Clinical Psychologists. Hannah has gained additional training and qualifications in the following areas: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She has a special interest in professional burn-out and coaching.
