Approach
Federica’s approach is welcoming, attentive, reflective and containing. Federica strongly believes that all emotional experiences are valid and result from multiple factors: developmental, social, psychological and circumstantial factors. She is dedicated to helping clients reach a helpful understanding of their emotional difficulties, to empathically validate them and support in finding effective ways of coping with them. Federica enables individuals to recognise and use their own skills and abilities to live an authentic and fulfilling life, in line with their own values and ambitions. Federica’s therapeutic work draws on various psychological models: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic Psychology and Mindfulness-based approaches. Her interventions are individually tailored to meet the unique needs and wishes of each client.
Experience
Federica has extensive experience working with children, adults, older adults, couples and families in the NHS, where she received much recognition for her ability to quickly establish a rapport with clients and effectively engage them into online therapy work. She has experience assessing and successfully treating a wide range of psychological difficulties (e.g. anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment issues, trauma, OCD, low self-esteem, lack of motivation, stress, career and work-related issues etc.).
Federica also worked extensively in Neuropsychology and Clinical Health Psychology services, conducting complex cognitive and psychological assessments and working as part of multi-disciplinary teams to support people affected by neurological conditions and physical health conditions during their rehabilitation and recovery journey.
