Emran is warm, compassionate and approachable psychological therapist with over 15 years of experience, working within both NHS and private sector. Emran believes that therapy should be empowering, it should build self efficacy, it should help clients realise their strength and build on their resilience. He understands that therapy is a difficult process and people work at different paces. Therefore, whilst working within evidence base, he ensures that therapy is adapted to suit individual needs and ways of working.
Emran has over 15 years of experience working within mental health and NHS settings providing therapy for a wide range of mental health disorders and emotional difficulties such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Panic Disorder. Following completion of his undergraduate degree in Psychology, he trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) and MBCBT (Mindfulness based CBT) and his current clinical work is spread across all three modalities. He has a keen interest in trauma/PTSD and has developed and facilitated group therapy programmes for PTSD, OCD, GAD and Mindfulness. Emran has had held numerous different roles throughout this career, working as a Psychological Well-being Practitioner (PWP), BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, EMDR Therapist, Supervisor, MbCBT facilitator, Operational Lead and currently working for NHS Talking Therapies as a Clinical Lead.
