Elaine has extensive clinical experience delivering high quality, evidence-based therapy in various clinical settings, including the NHS and private hospitals. Elaine can treat difficulties such as: anxiety, Depression, panic attacks, Trauma, Chronic stress, clinical perfectionism, issues with anger/assertiveness, and emotional regulation issues. Elaine’s specialist areas of interest are: Complex Trauma (C-PTSD) emotional regulation difficulties, and chronic health conditions, including medically unexplained symptoms/ living with a chronic illness. She also has extensive clinical experience working in a specialist NHS service, treating a range of complex health issues, including CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel syndrome. Elaine works to cultivate a sense of confidence and agency in each of her clients, in order for them to successfully navigate their difficulties between therapy sessions, and also beyond the therapeutic setting and into the wider world. Her primary mode of therapy is CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which she applies to most difficulties. However, Elaine is also trained to provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) Compassion focused therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
