About me

My approach to psychological therapy is relational, as in, I explore with my clients their relationship patterns and difficulties in order to make sense of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Often times when we are in distress, it can be linked to a challenging relationship, a breakdown, or to the inability to connect with others. As social beings, in order for us to feel good, we need to have good relationships with ourselves and others. Something to think about: are you being and living your most authentic self? If not, let's explore the 'why' together. I consider myself an integrative psychologist as I draw on a number of different evidenced based models and applications so as to tailor therapy to meet my clients' needs. I am a chartered counselling psychologist. I hold registration with The Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I also have a Master's degree in applied clinical health psychology. My clinical career has been working with adults in the NHS, private and voluntary sectors. I have worked in the community and in-patient hospitals and have experience of offering both brief and longer-term therapy, depending on my clients' needs. I work with a broad range of psychological and emotional difficulties, including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, and low self-esteem. I have a keen interest in supporting those with any difficulties surrounding their identities, relationships, and abilities/differences.
