About me

In your first few sessions, you will be supported to talk about what has and is currently happending in your life to help make sense of the problems you are experiencing. Together, you can then develop goals to focus therapy and learn to practice different types of skills and straergies to help you make positive changes in the area of life that have become difficult and/or less enjoyable for you. A plan to help you maintain your progress after therapy ends can also be developed. Charley has worked in both community and inpatient meantal health settings for 14 years and is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK. Charley completed her clinical training at Salomons Insitute for Applied Psychology, Canterbury Christ Church University in 2012 and currently works within the NHS secondary care adult mental health team alongside her role at HelloSelf. Charley has completed further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and has experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based approaches.
