Charley has completed further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and has experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based approaches.
Experience
Charley’s collaborative and compassionate style lends itself to structuring therapy around one or an integration of approaches based on your needs and preferences. In your first few sessions, you will be supported to talk about what has and is currently happening in your life to help make sense of the problems you are experiencing. Together, you can then develop goals to focus therapy and learn and practice different types of skills and strategies to help you make positive changes in the areas of life that have become difficult and/or less enjoyable for you. A plan to help you maintain your progress after therapy ends can also be developed.
