Approach

I am a highly experienced clinical psychologist and have worked in the mental health and wellness field for over 15 years. I work proactively and collaboratively to try to understand your specific difficulties and challenges and to tailor therapy to meet your needs and goals.  I work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

I value and respect diversity in areas of culture, race, gender and sexuality.

Experience

I have expertise in areas such as: anxiety, depression, trauma debriefing and recovery (for individuals and groups), loss and bereavement, fertility, mood instability, stress management, problems with emotional outburst and anger management, mindfulness, and interpersonal conflict.

One of my areas of specialization is relationship difficulties. I have worked with couples for over 12 years and have undertaken additional training in this area. In couple therapy I try to help couples to identify patterns that they may be repeating. With greater awareness, there is the possibility of finding healthier ways of relating.  I have also worked with people and groups who encounter difficulties in their work environments in order to better understand problematic interpersonal dynamics and to find ways to reduce or resolve these.
