About me

Hannah is a warm and empathic Clinical Psychologist who puts the therapeutic relationship at the heart of her approach. She works hard to create a space which feels safe, nurturing and containing, allowing clients to develop the insight and skills to work through difficult emotions and live the kind of life they want to lead. Hannah draws from a range of psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Hannah believes in working flexibly and collaboratively, tailoring her approach to meet the individuals’ personal needs and goals. Hannah has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Psychological Research Methods and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). Hannah is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). She currently works in an NHS service supporting people with the emotional impact of living with a chronic health condition. This is a very varied role which includes helping her clients to manage feelings of depression, anxiety, stress and low self-esteem, along with problems of poor sleep and difficulties managing pain. Hannah also has experience of working with people on the psychosis spectrum, helping people to manage distressing experiences such as visual and auditory hallucinations, unusual experiences and beliefs and processing past traumatic events. Throughout her clinical experience Hannah has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams and has supervised and mentored trainee Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and other nursing and mental health care colleagues.
