Approach

Faizah believes that the longest relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself and therefore it is important to invest in yourself through the journey of therapy. Faizah is a warm and compassionate therapist, who works collaboratively and creatively with clients to meet their goals. She draws on multiple therapeutic modalities and psychological theories to tailor the therapy to meet the client’s needs.

Experience

Faizah is a qualified HCPC and BABCP registered and accredited Senior Psychological Therapist and Clinical Supervisor that provides specialist psychological therapy with particular expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic and Art Psychotherapy. Her range of qualifications and her non-judgemental, adaptable approach means she works well with clients of all ages and backgrounds.

She has a successful record of working with a wide range of client groups in the public and private health sector with mental health problems including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, attachment/relationship difficulties, loss, abuse, self-harm and suicidal tendencies. She has a special interest in trauma (PTSD), low self-esteem, perfectionism and social phobia and providing culturally sensitive therapy.

Faizah has over twelve years of experience in mental health, seven of which were in the NHS. Most recently she worked as a Clinical Lead in a Mental Health in Schools program and Adult Community Mental Health Teams. She has experience in a variety of NHS services including as a Lead Psychological Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in Adult Outpatient services and in Child & Adolescent Mental Health services. In addition to her NHS work, Faizah has worked with several leading private providers.
