Approach
Ellie has a passion for person-centred care and am experienced in working with a wide variety of clients and presenting difficulties. She takes an integrative approach, in particular, in addition to CBT, she uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills. She has received advanced training in CBT for insomnia, and motivational interviewing. These techniques compliment her work across a range of mental health difficulties. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Areas of special interest and experience include, adjustment to long-term health conditions and emotion dysregulation. She also work with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, and low self-esteem.
Experience
Following her undergraduate degree and before qualifying in CBT, she worked in the field of Neuropsychology with clients affected by acquired brain injuries at Headway Thames Valley, and has been a member of the Board of Trustees at Headway South Bucks from 2016-2021. She continues to develop her interest in Neurological conditions alongside her clinical work.
