Approach
Clare listens carefully to each client’s difficulties, and then discusses with them what she thinks is the most appropriate therapeutic approach to their problems. This could be a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for example, or an integrative approach drawing on various models, including CBT, psychodynamic and existential. Clare feels strongly that psychological therapy should be accessible and transparent.
Experience
Clare currently works as a senior psychologist in the NHS. She has extensive experience of delivering evidence-based therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings in the NHS and the private sector. Clare has worked with clients facing a range of difficulties, including eating disorders, severe and enduring mental illness, and life stresses, such as bereavement and job loss. Special Interests Clare is particularly interested in addressing the stigma that can be associated with mental health difficulties. Having had a previous career in the financial services sector, she is also keen to support people experiencing work-related stress. Additional qualifications Clare has recently completed couples counselling training with Tavistock Relationships.
