About me

Chris is a warm, compassionate, approachable, and down to earth therapist, who works collaboratively and creatively with clients to meet their specific needs and goals. He believes that effective therapy draws on clients’ strengths and resilience, so he draws on his experience with multiple therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to meet the specific needs of each of his clients. Chris has 10 years’ experience working with individuals with diverse physical, mental and personality difficulties in a variety of settings in the UK. His current roles include working with adults within NHS Psychological Therapy Services, working with young people in foster care and their families, and Chris has his own private practice where he specialises in complex trauma work and supervises therapists working in this field. Chris also delivers training at various universities and training bodies on subjects such as: Complex Trauma, Sexual Trauma, Working with LGBTQI+ Communities, Gender Identity, and Attachment. Chris delivers high-quality, evidence-based therapy for people across a range of age groups and emotional and psychological difficulties. As well as the specialist areas mentioned above, Chris also has extensive experience working with Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic, Phobias, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Emotional Regulation, Anger, and Self-Esteem.
