About me

The evidence around talking therapy shows that effective treatment, with enduring benefits, is achieved when there is a fine balance between the use of evidence based interventions and attention to each client’s unique experience of life and its challenges. She will attend carefully to the individual context of every client’s personal experience, in an endeavour to help clients to achieve sustainable change. Nicola has worked as a psychologist in therapeutic practice for over 12 years. She has worked within both Primary and Secondary care NHS settings, in further education, and in private practice. She is HCPC registered, BABCP accredited andan Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She has a wealth of experience of working with a full range of mood disorders, and her work with clients always draws upon empirical research about the process of therapy itself.
